Tashima opens Nishinomiya workshop

Postwar cameras rebuild the line

Konica and Minolta integrate
2003-2006corporateKonica and Minolta integrated management in 2003 and reorganized under the Konica Minolta name. The alpha-7 Digital/Maxxum 7D/Dynax 7D arrived in 2004 with body-integral CCD-shift anti-shake, carrying A-mount lenses into digital capture. It was a capable bridge, but the combined group soon chose to leave consumer camera production.

Camera assets pass to Sony
2006-2013end-of-lineKonica Minolta withdrew from the camera business on March 31, 2006 and transferred selected digital-SLR assets to Sony. The agreement preserved compatibility for Maxxum/Dynax lenses and shifted service operations, while carefully stopping short of transferring the entire company. In 2013 the surviving group reorganized as Konica Minolta, Inc.
