NAME UNRESOLVED - carried in its least-decorated, uncontested form. lens-db and PentaxForums give 'Tele-photo Takumar'; the Takumar Field Guide's page heading and ja.Wikipedia give plain 'Takumar'. 2-2, and no photograph of the name ring was examined. The prefix is deliberately NOT asserted. PRODUCTION YEAR UNRESOLVED - ja.Wikipedia says 1953年12月, the Field Guide and PentaxForums say 1955. NO production-range row is written for this lens as a result. SEPARATE SERIAL BLOCK: this lens sits far off the main M37 pool (149xxx-159xxx or 529xx-980xx depending on source) - a branch split worth knowing before anyone applies an M37 serial table to it. M37 copies were later physically REMOUNTED to M42 for early Asahi Pentax supply, so a low-serial M42 500/5 may be a converted M37 lens. The M42 row is `takumar-500mm-f5` (1957). Filter size and blades NOT SOURCED.
