Spec Notes
MAXIMUM APERTURE IS f/4.8, NOT f/4. The f/4 figure traces to ONE blog list that buckets DKL lenses by focal length and aperture rather than by keying, filing this lens with the Voigtlander Super-Dynarex 200mm f/4 - a real DKL 200/4 in Bessamatic keying. f/4.8 is confirmed by the Kodak Museum object record (Science Museum Group co8234649, serial 9006195), by Wikipedia, by CameraQuest, by allphotolenses, by Neuhaus DKL reference and by three dealers engraved examples. CAUTION: a third-party Vemar 200mm f/4.8 also exists in Kodak Retina keying, so a 200mm f/4.8 DKL lens is not necessarily a Schneider. MINIMUM FOCUS DISPUTED and omitted: 10m vs 27.8ft (8.5m). Barrel diameter and production years NOT SOURCED. NO rangefinder cam - on a Retina IIIS it brings up the 135mm frameline at infinity with no coupled focus and no parallax compensation; usable at infinity only. Takes a 1A screw-on filter on the REAR component. Its documented serial 9006195 is ALL NUMERIC with no CAMEROSITY prefix - this row is the counterexample that corrected the date-code rule in 2.1.
