INTERCHANGEABLE FRONT COMPONENT, not a complete lens. Fits Retina IIc, IIC, IIIc, IIIC and Retina Reflex (type 025) bodies with a RODENSTOCK HELIGON standard lens only. THE NAME IS NOT TELE-ARTON - Retina-Tele-Arton is a Schneider name on the later DKL bayonet and is already in this catalogue as schneider-retina-tele-arton-85mm-f4. Kodak's IIIC book prints 'RETINA Longar Xenon C f/4 or RETINA Heligon C f/4'. Catalogued as a physical object by the Science Museum Group (Kodak Museum, object co8234655): 'interchangeable front component for Retina C camera lenses', three-point bayonet. FILTER: thread 58mm, Kodak designation '60 mm'. WEIGHT is a dealer measurement (Kamerastore); the same listing gives '63 x 45 mm' without naming the axes, so diameter and length are omitted, and its 1 m minimum focus is not recorded because focusing is done by the body helical. DATES: present in the 1954 launch documentation. Rodenstock publishes no serial-to-year table, so this component is not datable from its serial.
