Spec Notes
THE SECOND OF TWO OPTICALLY DIFFERENT MD 135mm f/3.5 LENSES, split from the 4-element row on THREE simultaneous hardware differences: lens formula (5/5 against 4/4), filter thread (49mm against 55mm) and physical size (64 x 72.5mm and 285g against 64.5 x 87mm and 420g). THE ENGRAVING CHANGES INSIDE THIS ROW and does not split it: the 1979 lens is 'MD TELE ROKKOR', the 1981 New MD is bare 'MD 135mm 1:3.5'. A rename is not a dimension. MINOLTA SR BAYONET. This catalogue defines ONE Minolta manual-focus mount slug, minolta Md, used 70 times across the migrations and with no separate MC slug - the SR bayonet is one physical mount across the MC and MD generations, so an MC-era lens on minolta Md is correct and not a defect. THE WEIGHT RECORDED IS THE 1981 FIGURE, 285g; the 1979 lens is 265g. NOT SOURCED: aperture blade count, for the same reason as its sibling.
