Three dimensions below the Vigilant: no Kodak Anastigmat on any rung, no Kodamatic or Supermatic, and no continuous focusing scale - the Bimat rung focuses in three zones, 5-8 ft, 8-15 ft and 15 ft to infinity. Two rungs only. THE FOCAL-LENGTH LEG OF THE SIX-16 / SIX-20 SPLIT IS NOT SOURCED FOR THIS PAIR: Kodak's Oct-1939 and 1940 catalogues print the same Kodet and Bimat lenses and the same Dak and Dakon shutters for both sizes with NO millimetre figure at all. This pair is held apart by format and by AA-13's separate lines alone, and saying so is better than inheriting a count that cannot be defended. LENS AND SHUTTER ARE AN OPTION LADDER, NOT SEPARATE MODELS. Kodak's catalogues print one heading and one description per camera with a price table of lens-and-shutter combinations underneath, and AA-13 carries one row per camera rather than one per grade. DATING: NONE EXISTS FOR THIS CAMERA. No Kodak serial-to-year table was ever published for any Rochester body, and the CAMEROSITY lens code runs only from about 1940 and only on Ektar, Anastigmat Special and Anastar lenses - none of which this camera was sold with in a year the code was in use.
