Introduction price $1,895 (October 1961). The last and most capable. ELECTRIC drive with interchangeable drive assemblies; 100 ft internal plus 400 ft and 1200 ft external magazines; CONTINUOUS REFLEX VIEWING through a mirrored rotary shutter; three-lens turret; Type R lever-operated clamping mount. Kodak Ekton lenses, some made by Angenieux. THE ONLY CINE-KODAK BODY WITH A PUBLISHED PRODUCTION FIGURE, and it is hedged: Kerr writes "It is reported that only a few hundred were ever made." TYPE R LENS ROSTER NOT SOURCED. SERIAL NUMBERS: these bodies DO carry serials (Kerr's own Special is number 330; a Science Museum Group Royal Magazine is 65678) but NO Cine-Kodak serial-to-year scheme is published anywhere - checked across all four Kerr monographs, Wikipedia, Pacific Rim Camera's Cine reference library and two museum catalogues. Date these bodies by model production window only.
