Research
Science Museum Group / Kodak Museum object records (Bradford collection); Chris Sherlock, retinarescue.com (Retina camera list and serial tables); cjs-classic-cameras.co.uk; collection-appareils.fr; camerapedia; cameracollector.net; mikeeckman.com. NO Kodak printed document was read for the prewar models - the highest tier reached is museum cataloguing, and confidence is set accordingly.

Spec Notes
Descends from the Nagel No. 18 and carried by Kodak AG from 1932. All-metal folding plate camera: screw rising AND cross front, rack-and-pinion focus, DOUBLE extension bellows, brilliant reflecting finder, wire frame finder, spirit level, ground-glass back. Lens on the Kodak Museum example: Nagel doppel anastigmat 10.5cm f/4.5-32; also sold as Kodak Anastigmat 105mm f/4.5. Shutter Compur 1/2/5/10/25/50/100/250 + T + B. PRODUCTION END IS UNCONSTRAINED, not open: the only statement found is 'into the 1940s', which is not a year. An owner measured one example at 822 g with the ground-glass back; that is a measurement, not a published spec. The model number 18 is a NAGEL number, not a Kodak AG Nr. - a different scheme, and it must not be read as one.
