The top of the German Instamatic line, and a Kodak Museum object confirms maker Kodak AG, made in Germany. Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 38mm f/2.8, FOUR elements in three groups, stopping to f/22 - note this lens is NOT a Reomar, so German build does not imply Reomar. Compur leaf shutter 1/30-1/500 + B, agreed by three sources including the museum record. Gossen selenium meter with a match-needle and plus/minus indicator in the finder; film speed read from the cartridge pin. Scale focus 2.5 ft to infinity, no rangefinder. Collapsing lens mount, PC sync, tripod socket, cable-release thread. Three hardware dimensions separate it from the Instamatic 250: lens, shutter speed range and body. Weight reported as 395 g by two low-tier sources and recorded as prose rather than as a value. Withdrawn 1965, and 1966 in the US.
