16 exposures 4.5x6 cm on 620, entirely a Kodak AG product - unlike the Pupille, Vollenda and Recomar it postdates the acquisition completely. US list price $57.50. Lens options sourced: Kodak Anastigmat 7.5cm f/3.5 and f/4.5, Zeiss Tessar f/3.5, Schneider Xenar on later production. NO PRODUCTION RANGE ROW: the start year is disputed - 1933 (two sources) vs 1934 (camerapedia) - and production Start cannot hold a guess. The END is well supported at 1937, when the Series II replaced it. A 1933 German launch with a 1934 US catalogue listing would reconcile the two, but NO SOURCE STATES THAT and it is not recorded as fact. WHO MADE THE 'KODAK ANASTIGMAT' HERE IS NOT SOURCED. One writer speculates a rebadged Schneider Xenar and hedges it himself; another declines even to settle the element count at 3 or 4. Against the rebadging theory: Kodak AG openly sold Schneider Xenar and Zeiss Tessar as NAMED alternatives on this same camera, so it had no reason to disguise a Schneider. Roughly 81,000 Duos of all variants were made 1933-1940.
