Introduction price $375 (1933). The precision 16mm system. 100 ft standard and 200 ft optional quick-change magazines; continuously variable 8-64 fr/s with detents at 8, 16, 24, 32 and 64; crank-wound spring, a full wind giving 38 ft or 95 seconds at 16 fr/s; hand crank at 1 frame or 8 frames per revolution; single-frame. Variable shutter adjustable from 165 degrees to zero WHILE RUNNING, for in-camera fades and dissolves. Two-lens turret. The CKS mount is unique to this camera and is not even used on the Special II. Lens focal lengths 15, 25, 40 or 50, 63, 76, 102, 114 and 152mm. SERIAL NUMBERS: these bodies DO carry serials (Kerr's own Special is number 330; a Science Museum Group Royal Magazine is 65678) but NO Cine-Kodak serial-to-year scheme is published anywhere - checked across all four Kerr monographs, Wikipedia, Pacific Rim Camera's Cine reference library and two museum catalogues. Date these bodies by model production window only.
