Built on the Signet 50's body, film transport and lens. Kodak's manual gives the meter as reading 'over-all brightness of field' and controlling the lens openings when set for automatic - and MANUAL EXPOSURE IS STILL AVAILABLE on this model, which is the thing the 35B takes away. Zone focus 3 ft to infinity with click stops for Close-ups, Groups and Scenes; lens openings marked in exposure values; single-stroke lever advance. Flash is by separate Kodalite flasholder on a side bracket, no on-camera flash. $84.50. The four-element Tessar attribution for the Ektanar is secondary, not Kodak's. Weight and dimensions NOT SOURCED. NO BODY SERIAL statement appears in any Kodak manual for this family. DATING: NONE. The CAMEROSITY lens prefix is attested only on Ektar, Anastigmat Special and Anastar lenses. No prefixed EKTANAR or ANASTON serial could be found in Kodak literature, museum records, dealer inventory or auction text, and no source states whether those tiers are inside or outside the scheme - so this camera is NOT datable from its lens. The four-letter body date code that cheap Kodaks carry is not sourced for this model either. DATES ARE MARKET DATES, NOT PRODUCTION. Kodak's own AA-13 heads its columns 'ON THE MARKET FROM / TO', and no Kodak-published production date exists for any camera in this slice - every third-party 'production years' figure checked is a restatement of AA-13.
