ONE CAMERA, TWO BUNDLE NAMES. Selectaflex I shipped with the Color-Solinar 50mm f/2.8 and Selectaflex II with the Color-Solagon 55mm f/2; two independent collector references and a museum agree the bodies are the same and no Agfa document names a "Selectaflex II". A logo-size variant exists, spelled "Selecta-Flex" on some bodies, and it does NOT track I against II. Agfa calls the mount only a "quick-change mount" and uses the generic word bayonet for the hardware; it publishes no proper name. FILTER THREAD OMITTED: Agfa prints "Diameter of screw mount 46 mm." in an accessories passage whose scope is most likely the standard 50mm lens alone, so it is not assigned to any row. SHUTTER, METERING AND WEIGHT NOT WRITTEN: the only figures are single-source collector values, and one relay read that appeared to carry them from Agfa's book was caught fabricating and discarded. HAZARD: an Ambiflex-era lens will mount on a Selectaflex body and then cannot be removed without mechanical intervention. Agfa's museum states it in German and in its own English: "Ambiflex-Objektive passen nicht bei der Selectaflex!!! Sie lassen sich dann nicht mehr entfernen!" The reverse direction works: a first-hand mount test reports a Selectaflex lens fitting an Ambiflex body. The physical tell of an Ambiflex-era lens is a funnel-shaped notch at the distance-scale mark. NO flange focal distance exists for either mount, from any source. Production years bound the MODEL, not an individual specimen. Sources differ on whether they describe first production or first market release and none says which.
